CollegeDost ("we", "us", "our") operates an online admissions-guidance platform that helps students discover colleges, compare information, submit applications, and speak with counsellors. This policy explains what we do with your personal information. By using our site or services, you agree to this policy.

• Details you give us — your name, phone number, email, city, course or stream of interest, and anything you type into a form or message.
• Application details — the colleges you shortlist or apply to, and any information you add to your profile.
• Technical data — basic device, browser and usage information collected automatically when you visit (see Cookies below).

We do not ask for sensitive documents (like marksheets or ID) unless a specific application step needs them, and only with your knowledge.

We use your information to:

• Show you relevant colleges and respond to your enquiries;
• Submit your application to the colleges you choose;
• Let a counsellor contact you to guide you through your options;
• Improve our website and services;
• Send you updates related to your enquiry, and — only if you agree — occasional admissions information.

We share your information only where it's needed to provide the service:

• Colleges you chose — when you apply or ask to be contacted, your details go to those specific colleges so they can process your application.
• Our counsellors — so they can help you directly.
• Service providers — trusted vendors who help us run the platform (for example, hosting, messaging or analytics), bound by confidentiality.
• Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

We do not resell your details to unrelated agents or third-party call-centre lists.

05WhatsApp, calls and messages

When you share your number or submit a form, you agree that CollegeDost and our counsellors may contact you by call, SMS or WhatsApp about your enquiry. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to a message or emailing us. Messaging platforms (like WhatsApp) have their own privacy terms that also apply.

06Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. We may use analytics and advertising services (such as Google) that set their own cookies to measure and improve our campaigns. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site works.

07Data security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, so we can't promise absolute security. Our services are meant for students making higher-education decisions. If you are under 18, please use CollegeDost with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If we learn we've collected information from a child without appropriate consent, we'll delete it.
